Top Hut | Ahuriri Conservation Park
You can’t drive here so it gets fewer visits than the huts further down the valley. But it is a good base for hunting thar so hunters can frequent it. And climbers.
A few trampers visit to experience the remarkable scenery at the head of the valley, or pop over to the South Huxley via V Notch Pass.
Well maintained and with an open fire, but lacks a toilet.
