Chimney Creek Hut | Oteake Conservation Park
Old musterers’ hut of similar design to Wire Yards Hut. It was built at the same time, 1934, although it is not in as good condition. Has a dirt floor, and the chimney has been blocked up due to a fire almost burning the hut down.
Renovated with sleeping platforms in 2016, but it looks like someone stole the mattresses. Ida Flat Hut is a better bet and isn’t far away, less than one hour.
Nice setting in the gully right at the top of Chimney Creek.
