Heather Jock Hut | Whakaari Conservation Area

A cosy three-bunk hut that is mainly visited on day trips. The only hut out of four on this side of the valley where it is possible to stay.

Bit of a climb to get up there for many, but worth the effort with the views across Glenorchy towards the Greenstone track and Dart River Valley.

The water tank is small, so bringing your own water in summer is advisable.
