Junction Hut, historic | Kopuwai Conservation Area, Otago
The old musterers’ hut was built in the early 1930s and has plenty of graffiti on the internal timber walls, dating from that time, including many mustering groups. The inside is cozy, although if you wish to have the open fire, you need your own firewood. Not renovated, retaining much of the 1930s atmosphere.
Most visitors stay in the adjacent hut that was dragged up and down the hills in 1972.
