Lauder Basin Hut | Lauder Basin Conservation Area
Hut? This is a windowless shed, albeit with a two-level concrete floor. Clad in much-dented, aluminium corrugated sheeting, it’s super shiny, over a Dexion steel system structure.
It has been refurbished in recent years with three bunks but only two mattresses and a decent bench. It has a ply ceiling and bunk surrounds.
The setting is perfect at the junction of two small streams with a backdrop of cliffs. You are unlikely to be disturbed, although a four-wheel drive convey may drop in.
