Deep Creek Hut | Pisa Conservation Area

Built in 1891 near a small stream with originally just two bunks and a stone fireplace. Then it underwent many extensions and modifications until, in 2012, DOC removed many of the add-ons and built the six bunks.

Lots of graffiti on the corrugated steel, some from 1911 and 1922.

It’s pretty idiosyncratic, with a 2/3 height door and the floor sloping about 3°, but at least the bunks are level.
