Boozer Hut | Whakaari Conservation Area

Who would have thought that gold miners would have left a legacy of this hut name? This historic hut was further up the valley on a slip zone that was doing its thing, but it was moved and now sits on a more stable, more accessible site.

It has a few remnants of the era on the interior but is no longer used for accommodation due to the fire risk.

A peek into history and a rugged way of life.
