Monument Hut | Ruataniwha Conservation Park

Monument Hut has a new roof and woodburner, but otherwise is a fairly standard six-bunk old New Zealand Forest Service hut. Located on a small river terrace above the main valley, but the beech tree forest limits views.

Being a hut that can be reached by four-wheel drive, it suffers a little from having many short-stay visitors, of whom few stay the night.
