Curtis Memorial Hut | Hakatere Conservation Park
One of the most pleasant huts in the Havelock River Valley.
It is perched on some glacial remnants and has a view across the Havelock River and straight up the Forbes River towards Mt D’Archiac, 2875 m.
Built after a donation from the Curtis family in memory of their hunter son Michael who died in the area while hunting tahr in 1979.
