Back Hut | Ruataniwha Conservation Park, Canterbury

This old hut is verging on being classed as dilapidated, with no door or glass in the windows. At least the floor and walls tend to keep the weather out. The roofing is questionable.

It’s just up from the Greta Track car park, with minimal facilities. Water is a short walk up the track, then dropping down steeply to the creek.

Not many stay here, although it does have the best price: free.
