Basins Hut | Craigieburn Forest Park
Originally a typical SF 70 New Zealand Forest Service six-bunk hut in reasonable condition, it has subsequently had large porches on the front and east side added.
Just across Basin Creek from the older and more primitive Old Basins Hut.
Not used much, although it is accessible by four-wheel drive.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
