Avoca Hut, Craigieburn Forest Park
Avoca Hut is located in a dramatic position, high above the river, although the views to the high sheer mountains are somewhat obscured by the close surrounding beech forest.
Famous for the bath, but don’t use all the water from the tanks as it is a long and steep drop down to the river.
Was renovated over a number of years by CUTC, with the concrete slab broken up, replaced with piles, timber bearers, joists, and a plywood floor that lifted the floor well above the ground.
