I’m better organised this time around. It helped to have a few omissions, fuel, and not much else on my initial trip in the summer. Now that is well covered.
Instead, it’s my banking issues. Cash and a temporary debit card that can’t be used on the Internet will have to do.
All is right with the world once again.
I knew today was going to be wet, and for periods in the Buller Gorge it sure was. Around Punakaiki there was dense sea fog. By Hokitika the sun had come out, but then inexplicably it started raining in Franz Joseph, and on to Fox.
I popped the tent up during breaks in the rain, then the sun came out.
After my early start, and late night previously trying to sort out my luggage, I slipped into my sleeping bag quite early.
One thing. I organised the bus driver would drop me off at the north entrance to the Haast Paringa Cattle Trail tomorrow morning.
We even get to stop at the salmon farm on the way.
Yay!!
