Esk Bivvy | Lochinvar Forest Conservation Area
Esk Bivvy is a compact West Coast-style bivvy with one bed and two mattresses, one for the floor. It has an open fire that has been closed off to stop swallows from nesting and then not being able to get out through the chimney.
The structure has been protected with recent building wrap.
The old hut book dates back to 1989 and is a bit of a who’s who of the hutbaggers leaders board.
Few visit, however, with just three names in the old and new hut books for 2022.
