Cookies Hut | Hakatere Conservation Park
An hour’s ramble downstream from Tribulation Hut, Cookies is from a similar era, but with a few notable differences. It features a new wood burner and flue, as well as a woodshed lean-to, although there isn’t much wood available without a hike.
It’s on piles rather than a concrete slab and slightly smaller.
Fewer people visit Cookies than Tribulation Hut, as it is further from the road. Hunters make up a proportion of visitors to both. Has a horse paddock.
