Montgomerie Hut | Victoria Forest Park

A typical NZFS SF 70 six-bunk hut, set in a small clearing above the deep river pool.

Used predominantly by foreign fishers who find a thrill in the catch and release of the local trout, which may become sick of the rigmarole by the end of the season. Sadly, as is common with huts accessible by vehicles, it can be left in an untidy state.
