Grassy Flat Hut | Styx River
Grassy Flat Hut is the biggest, newest, and most comfortable hut in the area. Double-glazed, well-insulated, etc.
Note that the March 2019 floods have severely compromised the Styx River valley access, and a significant section of the Styx River track has been swept away, with the river cutting into a hugely unstable landslide. It is possible to follow a track upstream, but this requires crossing the potentially gnarly Styx River three times.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
