Whites Hut | Obelisk Historic Reserve
This is an old gold miner’s residence with a superb view over the Clutha River valley. Over time, it fell into disrepair until it received some attention to the stonework in 1953.
Currently, the windows and door in the doorway have no glazing, and the top of the stonework is no longer weatherproof. However, it is a fairly accessible link to the gold mining era, and it would benefit from restoration.
