Potters Hut | Glenaray Station, Southland
There are actually two huts here. The dirt-floored and almost windowless stone hut was built shortly after gold was discovered by John Potter in 1862. This has no bunks or any fit-out.
The corrugated steel hut was built later and has mainly been used as a musterers’ hut. Although it is a private hut owned by Glenreagh station, it can be used by visitors with prior permission.
No toilet, but it does have an open-air thunder box.
