Lower Princhester Hut | Takitimu Conservation Area
Lower Princhester Hut is a standard NZFS SF 70 six-bunk hut in remarkably original condition, considering it’s possible to drive a 2WD car almost to the front door.
Set in a pleasant, if shady, beech forest adjacent to a small stream.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
