Molesworth Cob Cottage campsite is where you join those in vehicular transportation, and pay for the privilege. It is strange that if there was a hut here you could stay using your Backcountry Hut Pass for free. Instead, you have to pay $8 each to throw your tent up on the grass.

While most of the campground is just a grassy paddock, near the gates there are some very sheltered sites which suit more suitable for those living in a small tent for the night. Is even a few picnic tables if you get lucky.
