Mid Silverstream Hut | Leatham Conservation Area

Mid Silverstream Hut is perched above Silver Stream in a small clearing. The proximity of the hills to the north would give limited direct light in winter.

The sign at either end of the track states that it is five hours from the four-wheel-drive track turnoff. While some may be faster, with possible windfall, young red beech saplings obscuring the track, and a new slip, these obstacles may slow others down.

When the benched track is good, it is great.

It would help with access if those venturing in snapped off stray twigs rather than expecting the government to do this.

Certainly, more effort is required than to get to the Top Misery or Lost Stream huts.
