Lees Creek Hut, Upper Wairau River

A recently renovated hut is situated in a large clearing with a gorgeous backdrop of the Raglan Range.

A surprisingly easy walk in from the Wairau River swingbridge. Some may be disconcerted by the taxidermically attended chamois head that appears to survey the room from high on the wall.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
