Lake Alexander Hut | Ferny Gair Conservation Area
Refurbished when the base hut structure was relocated from down the valley at the Tummil River junction. Now has new single-glazed windows, insulation, good benching, etc.
In summer the water situation can be an issue when a nearby stream dries up/goes underground. The water from the lake can have additives from numerous ducks, so it’s a 500 m walk each way up to a clear flowing stream adjacent to the climb up to Wild Sheep Saddle with the provided stainless steel bucket.
