Lake Alexander Hut | Ferny Gair Conservation Area
Refurbished when the base hut structure was relocated from down the valley at the Tummil River junction. Used to be called Tummil Hut. Now has new single-glazed windows, insulation, good benching, etc.
The water situation has finally been resolved with a new rainwater tank, avoiding a substantial 500 m water to a clear flowing rivulet.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
