Captains Creek Hut | Mt Richmond Forest Park
The standard issue NZFS SF 70 hut is in somewhat renovated condition: woodburner, interior painted, louvre windows replaced with aluminium awning windows.
Set on a river flat above the magnificent Pelorus River, you can swim on a summer’s day. Good camping spots around.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
