Mid Goulter Hut | Mt Richmond Forest Park
Some years ago, Mid Goulter Hut was hauled 20 m up the hill and reoriented to catch the afternoon sun. At that time, it was renovated, a verandah and additional windows installed, I guess serious insulation as well, and now it’s the most pleasant accommodation around.
The only real issue is the distance to the river for water, but a large bucket is supplied.

Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, red for youth) for each night of your stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. A Backcountry Hut Pass is also valid year-round.
