Porters Creek Hut | Mt Richmond Forest Park
Old hut with a good vibe and a vibrant exterior colour scheme. Good camping spots around, unlike Hunters Hut.
The hut was relocated by helicopter from the Right Branch of the Wairoa River in 2011 and fully renovated, with a new floor, porch, woodburner, etc. A new water tank, installed in late 2016, solves that issue.
