Asbestos Cottage | Kahurangi National Park
Plenty of history remains about this hut built in 1897, but more famously occupied by Henry and Annie Chaffey from 1914 to 1951. Henry worked as a prospector in the area. An assortment of bits and pieces from those days is displayed inside.
The hut has had some renovation work, but someday, a full makeover will get it to last another century.
