Locke Stream Hut | Arthurs Pass National Park
Locke Stream Hut is an historic hut, ie, from 1939, that had a verandah added and was fully refurbished back in 1993. Some bush construction skills are still evident, rafters, hand-hewn floor boards, etc, there’s plenty of character to soak up.
Did they really bring those construction materials up here on the back of a truck in 1939?
