Cass Saddle Hut | Craigieburn Forest Park
Not too many of the old-style huts like Cass Saddle Hut still remain on popular tramping tracks. This windowless hut is a real blast from the past. It has a strange configuration with two small rooms, triple-height bunks and an even more bizarre pair of not-quite full-height doors.
The hut is just below the bushline, surrounded by trees, and there are some excellent camping spots 100 m up the track towards the saddle.
