Bealey Spur Hut | Arthurs Pass National Park

Approaching 90 years old, with a dirt floor and bush construction that match its era, this old musterer’s hut draws many day-trip visitors. It’s an easy but relentless climb on an obvious track with one prominent spot for a huge view over the Waimakariri River and up the Bealey River.

The hut has a small water tank, so conserve water in summer months.

Comfortable. You could spend many hours trying to find the oldest graffiti.
