Murray River Hunters Hut | Rakiura National Park, Stewart Island

Murray River Hunters Hut is another newish Stewart Island hunters’ hut.

In a manuka forest, close to the Murray Beach estuary and beach, so there’s plenty of firewood around.

Has all the amenities of the usual DOC hut, with some useful additions abandoned by previous hunting parties, pots and pans, etc.
