Big Bay Hut | Pyke - Big Bay route, Pyke Forest

Some may have difficulty in locating Big Bay Hut, particularly when coming from the Pyke River direction; there’s a few tracks at Big Bay for the whitebaiters, and not much in the way of signage. Might be best to approach from the beach, where there are the standard large orange DOC triangular markers.

Overall, Big Bay Hut is a great place to shack up for a day or two if you’re doing the full Hollyford – Pyke Circuit.
