Jervois Hut | St James Conservation Area

An unrenovated three-bunk hut straight from the deer culler days. Still with an open fireplace and canvas bunks, although now with plastic-coated mattresses provided.

The graffiti makes for interesting reading: many of the names date back to the 1950s and 60s. It’s a hut that would have plenty of tall stories, no doubt, if the walls could talk.
