Shallow Bay campsite | Kepler Track, Fiordland National Park
How about a campsite right on the shores of Lake Manapouri, in amongst some big red beech forest, complete with a priceless view? Think Shallow Bay campsite.
Shallow Bay campsite is over 500 m from the Kepler Track so you can camp anywhere around near the longdrop. In any case it’s actually an official national park campsite, the sort that is used by school parties. The cost? A big surprise: it’s free.
You can, of course, also park yourself adjacent to the Shallow Bay hut and use the toilet there.
