Iris Burn Hut | Kepler Track, Fiordland National Park

Iris Burn Hut is not quite as dramatic a setting as Luxmore Hut and those big-time views, but a pleasant enough spot to rest your feet. You might even start to talk to your fellow travellers since it’s often the second night together, and there’s going to be plenty to share after the wander from Luxmore.

Worth the traipse up to the Iris Burn waterfall, about a 20-minute walk away. Sometimes it’s these pack-less walks where you can slow down and appreciate your surroundings.
