Smoky Beach Hunters Hut | Rakiura National Park, Stewart Island
Smoky Beach Hunters Hut is another newish Stewart Island hunters’ hut.
In a manuka forest, close to the Smoky River estuary and beach, so there’s plenty of firewood around.
Has all the amenities of the usual DOC hut, with some useful additions abandoned by previous hunting parties, pots and pans, etc.

Not for use by casual trampers.
