Adelaide Tarn Hut | Kahurangi National Park

Adelaide Tarn Hut is a tiny shed that is just about as compact as a four-bunker can get. There is really no satisfactory way to sit inside. Even getting into the lower bunks requires some gymnastics.

The siting adjacent to the tarn to the west of the precipitous Needle is entirely spectacular. There is a single small camping site in a sheltered spot close by with others near the head of the tarn.
