Lake Christabel Hut | Victoria Forest Park

Lake Christabel Hut is not set adjacent to the lake, but in a clearing, on a river terrace some distance upstream. It has been expanded at some stage in the past to add a couple of small sleeping platforms, and a useful porch. The original open fire has been replaced with a woodburner.

It’s mostly used by those either on the Rough Creek/Lake Christabel/Palmer Road route, or those venturing over unnamed pass at the head of the Robinson River. It’s a fairly energetic day to cover the ground in either of those directions.
